Schlein: “I hope for early elections, we are prepared”

" Early elections? I hope so ". This is what Elly Schlein said at the Trento Economics Festival. "We are prepared, absolutely competitive, the game is already open".
“We come from very important administrative elections,” she continues, “I was in Genoa yesterday with Silvia Salis , the day before in Assisi and this evening I will be in Ravenna. All the alternative forces to the right united around a concrete program that speaks of proximity. We are already demonstrating in the cities we govern that we are able to get along. We are stubbornly united because our opponent is the right".
" We held the Congress two years ago and I'm happy with how it went - she adds -. We are busy with the referendum and then with the regional elections, these are the priorities of the moment and I and the PD are focused on this".
Then the secretary attacks Rai on the coverage of the referendum questions in view of the vote on June 8 and 9. "The one who speaks little about the referendum is public television and it is a shame to see Rai bend to the interests of the majority and the government ."
Schlein returns to talk about minimum wage. "I would like to highlight that the Istat report of these days resoundingly denies the lies of the Meloni government, starting from the salary issue, which is dramatic . On this we propose the minimum wage, which means strengthening collective bargaining and saying that even that cannot go below nine euros per hour, because it is exploitation".
In relation to the government's decision to challenge the provincial law of Trentino that would give the president the possibility of running for a third term, the secretary is clear: " On the third term, the Democratic Party's position is against it. We have also enforced this rule with respect to our administrators despite their great quality. They are helping us build the aftermath".
